Branches are an indispensable part of MND NZ. They are “the arms and legs” of the association.
Branches bring local flavour to national initiatives, they can attract local media and person-on-the-street interest, and they are involved in local awareness and fundraising opportunities, such as street fairs. They also support their local Field Worker, and can help run local support groups.
MND NZ currently has four active branches in Wellington, Waikato, Tauranga and Canterbury/West Coast. Our branches are always on the look out for new volunteer members, so if you live in one of these four areas we would love to hear from you.
If you are interested in starting up a branch in a new area, then please contact the National Office. We would be absolutely delighted to help establish a new branch.
If you want to contact your local Field Worker for support, please click here to find the Field Worker in your area.
