Support MNDA

The help we provide is largely through information, practical advice and emotional support direct into peoples’ homes and by phone, email and support groups.  To achieve all of this, MNDA has just 7 part-time fieldworkers across the country who work to ensure that those with Motor Neurone Disease do not fall between the gap of the  range of service providers on whom their survival and comfort depends.

How can you help?

For its core service of 7 fieldworkers MNDA has at most 2 months work funded each year.  Funding the remaining 10 months relies entirely on grants, sponsorship and gifts, from people like you.
Whatever support you can give goes a long way with MND!

How can you do this?

• Be a corporate sponsor – adopt us!  We will be delighted to come and talk to your staff about the work we are doing and profile on our website any fundraising events undertaken.
• Get your company to nominate us for ‘Payroll Giving’
  From the 7th Jan 2010 a new voluntary Payroll Giving scheme has been introduced for New Zealand workplaces.  The scheme means that employees will receive a tax credit of 33.3% on all “payroll giving” donations at the time the donation is made rather than having to wait until the end of the tax year. This means that for every $3 donated a $1 tax credit is applied and therefore the donation has only actually cost the employee $2. Importantly though the chosen Charity or community organisation will receive the full $3 donation.
• Sponsor a Fieldworker’s work for a month … or a year
• Nominate MNDA for any sponsored sports activities you, your staff or your friends undertake.  This is easily done through Fundraise Online
